How to Become a Store Publisher

You can become a store publisher in ScrapeSuite and share your custom parsers with the community. Follow these steps to get started:

  1. Access the Store Publisher Section
    • Go to your profile settings and click on “Store Publisher.”

  2. Apply to Become a Publisher:
    • Click the “Become a Store Publisher” button.

  3. Enter Required Information:
    • Fill in the following details:

      • Author Name: The name that will be displayed in the store

      • Contact Email: An email address for the community to contact you.

      • Profile Description: A brief description of your profile.

  4. Submit Your Application:
    • Click “Apply” and wait for your application to be reviewed. Once approved, you will be able to publish parsers you have built.

 

How to publish a project

After becoming a publisher, you can publish your projects in the ScrapeSuite Store by following these steps:

  1. Publish From Project Dashboard:
    • Go to the dashboard of the project you want to publish.
    • Click the “Publish” button. Note that only the latest version of a project can be published, so if there are any recent changes, you will be prompted to deploy them first.

  3. Enter Project Details:

    • Project Avatar: Upload an avatar that visually represents the site the parser targets.
    • Title: Enter a title for the project that will be displayed in the store.
    • Category: Select a relevant category from the available options.
    • Short Description: Provide a brief description of the project.
    • README Section: Fill out the README with detailed information about what the parser does, its purpose, and the type of data it can extract.

  5. Fill in Changelog and Additional Details:
    • Changelog: Enter details about recent updates and changes to the project.
    • Preview HTML: Select the HTML file that will be used for the project preview.
    •   Controller and Job: Choose the appropriate controller and job configurations for the parser.

  7. Submit for Moderation: Click the “Publish” button and wait for your project to be reviewed. Once approved, your project will be published in the store.

Important

If your submission is rejected, you will receive a notification with the reason for rejection in the project dashboard.
